Meta Pixel + CAPI, Installed for 2026 Privacy Rules
Your Meta ad performance looks worse than reality
iOS 14.5+, ad blockers, consent banners, duplicate events — all silently eroding your reported conversions.
iOS 14.5+ signal loss
Up to 40% of iOS conversions never report back to Meta without Conversions API — your ROAS looks far worse than it is.
Duplicate Purchase events
Theme + plugin both load the pixel, firing two Purchase events per order — inflating reported ROAS and wasting ad spend on look-alike audiences.
Ad blockers killing events
uBlock, Brave, and strict privacy extensions block 15–25% of client-side pixel hits. Server-side CAPI recovers them.
Low Event Match Quality
No Advanced Matching with hashed PII means EMQ scores of 3–5 — poor audience matching, inefficient CPA.
Pixel that survives privacy updates and ad blockers
Client-side pixel + server-side CAPI working together, deduplicated with event_id sync — the setup Meta actually recommends.
-
Meta Pixel via GTM (not hardcoded)
Clean installation in GTM so your team can extend events without touching site code.
-
Conversions API (CAPI) server-side
Server-to-server backup for every client-side event — recovers iOS + ad-blocker signal loss.
-
Event deduplication
event_id + event_name synced between browser and server — Meta counts each conversion once, not twice.
-
Advanced Matching with hashed PII
Email, phone, name, city — SHA-256 hashed — pushes EMQ scores to 8+ for better audience matching.
-
Domain verification + AEM priority
Domain verified in Business Manager. Aggregated Event Measurement events ranked for iOS users.
-
Offline events via CRM import
Optional: Salesforce / HubSpot / Shopify refunds and offline conversions piped into Meta.

Meta Pixel questions
Do I actually need CAPI?
If you're running Meta ads at any meaningful scale ($5k+/mo), yes. Without CAPI you lose 15–40% of conversion signal on iOS, plus another 15–25% to ad blockers. That's lost attribution and worse campaign optimization.
Can I install CAPI without server infrastructure?
Yes. For most platforms we use Meta's native CAPI (no server needed — Meta handles it) or GTM server-side. Only Enterprise clients with very high volume typically need dedicated cloud infrastructure.
Will you handle the deduplication?
Yes — every event ships with an event_id that syncs between the browser and server calls. Meta sees one conversion per sale, not two.
What's Event Match Quality and why does it matter?
EMQ measures how well Meta can match your conversion events to real user accounts. Low EMQ (3–5) means poor audience targeting and optimization. High EMQ (8+) dramatically improves ROAS. We use Advanced Matching with hashed PII to get there.
Do you work with Shopify?
Yes — Shopify has native Meta integration but it's often misconfigured, fires duplicate events, or misses CAPI entirely. We rebuild it properly through GTM for cleaner data and deduplication.
What about iOS 14.5+ Aggregated Event Measurement?
AEM limits each domain to 8 priority events per conversion window. We help you prioritize the right 8 based on your funnel — so your most valuable events (Purchase, Lead, etc.) win over lower-value ones.
